Chapter 1 - IN THE BEGINNING, THERE WAS LIGHT!

I was but a poor, lost boy with no purpose in life. No dreams, no hopes, just me and the boredom and the bullying of life. It was a regular day in the summer, lazying around without a care in the world on my small and puny phone, and there she/he was... a random video that looked pretty cool. The day was 29/06/24.

The video in question was AnniFlamma's Ruthlessness animatic. I came across this animatic around a few weeks after the subsequent release of the Underworld Saga, which i believe is why i found EPIC in my feed, so thank you underworld saga for being popular enough to reach me with a Ruthlessness animatic. On top of that i was incredibly interested in Hamilton and listened to every single song every day for many weeks, so that's probably another main reason for EPIC to reach me since it was a musical just like Hamilton... well, EPIC is better :D

I saw the thumbnail and titled and thought to myself "what EPIC the Musical". I don't exactly know why EPIC the Musical caught my eye but i decided to give the animatic a watch and listen, and I REALLY enjoyed it! I was about to delete it from my watch history like usually to not be flooded with content I typically don't watch. But... the inner theatre kid within me spoke to me and insisted I... research what this EPIC is about and what it was.

Next thing I know, I'm on this "Jorge Rivera-Herrans" page with this random guy being the creator. I was a fool back then and now I realize Jorge is a god among man, the ultimate lifeform... musically.

Chapter 2 - MY TRANSITION INTO MADNESS... IN A GOOD WAY​

I listened to the whole of Act 1 that day, and something in me awoken... The Winion (its a term to refer to an EPIC fan). I LOVED its, and i instantly searched for animatics to watch for each of the symphonies for the whole of Act 1. I fund Gigi, Mircsy, WolfyTheWitch, Ximena Natzel and Anniflamma again. All of them made FANTASTIC ANIMATICS, my mind burst and went wild trying to figure out what is going on. Every day from then on I watched more animatics and re watched them over and over again for many, many weeks (I still do of course).

Then at some point I found myself watching Jorge's content, the creator of EPIC, and the way he analyzed his work was just like any old giddy fan of something. He was also a fan of EPIC along with the millions who adored it. His charm, his jokes, his silly little face... I fell in love for a second time (after falling in love with EPIC). I watched EVERYTHING of his content, both long form and short form in relation to EPIC, and my mind grew 3 times its size on the first day of watching his content, and it grew 145 times its size when i finished everything he posted at that time.

I was caught up and I now understood that there was so much thought into everything with the musical. I always felt that EPIC the Musical's song had something that made it pop, more than even Hamilton in my opinion, and it turns out it was the motifs, instruments and characters personalities that made EPIC a "different beast™" (pun :D) of its own.

 

And from my realization of all these elements, I've been able to piece together the story of EPIC... and I watched a summary video of The Odyssey by Overly Sarcastic Productions.
